How to resolve issues with your HACC employee password.
Password Requirements
- 8 character minimum (must contain 1 upper case, 1 lower case, 1 number, special characters are permitted but not recommended due to Banner INB restrictions)
- Do not include the user's name (any part of the full name) or UserID in the password.
- Do not copy and paste password in the new password fields.
- 4 passwords are remembered, so users CANNOT reuse passwords within that limit
- Required to change every 140 days
- Password has a minimum age of 2 days (users cannot reset their password more than once within 2 days).
Getting Started

Forgot Password
- On Campus PCs: Go to https://accounts.hacc.edu on another device. If another device is unavailable, contact the Support Center at 717-780-2570.
- Off-Campus PCs: Bring your laptop to campus and visit your campus User Support office, or call the Support Center at 717-780-2570 while you are on campus.
Expired Password
- On Campus: After logging into your device with your expired HACC password you will see a prompt to create a new password.
- Off Campus HACC-issued PCs: After logging into your device with your expired HACC password, confirm is VPN active, and follow the Password Reset Instructions below.
Change Password (If you know it)
- On Campus: After logging into your device with your current HACC password, follow the Password Reset Instructions below.
- Off Campus HACC-issued PCs: After logging into your device with your current HACC password, confirm is VPN active, and follow the Password Reset Instructions below.
Password Reset Instructions
Follow the instructions below to reset your HACC password. Failure to follow these steps will result Always on VPN to not function properly on an Off-Campus HACC PC.
Before proceeding to Step 1, ensure you have all Apps, Browsers, and Programs closed.
1. While signed into your PC, press the CTRL+ALT+DELETE keys to open the secure screen. (see screenshot below)

2. Click/tap on Change a password. (see screenshot below)

3. Type in your current old password, enter the new password and confirm the new password, and press Enter on your keyboard or click/tap on the arrow. (see screenshot below)

4. Click/tap on OK. (see screenshot below)

5. After the password has been changed, restart your PC/Laptop and log in with your new password.
