Overview

HACC offers Microsoft 365 (Office) to all full-time employees. Applications included in this collection include:

Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Access (PC users only)

Features

Full-time employees are provided a Microsoft 365 A3 license. This license allows Microsoft 365 applications to be installed on up to five devices, including HACC-issued devices and personal devices.

Applications included in the Microsoft 365 collection include:

Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel - These tools allow you to create text documents and spreadsheets using traditional Microsoft Office interfaces. While some cloud-based sharing features are included, the applications can also be downloaded and installed on your computer like traditional Microsoft Office software.

Microsoft PowerPoint - You can create slideshows using images and text, set up timed transitions, and more.

Microsoft Access (PC Users Only) - An easy-to-use tool for creating business applications from templates or from scratch. Its rich and intuitive design tools can help you create appealing and highly functional applications in a minimal amount of time. Please note that Microsoft Access cannot be installed on Apple devices.

Getting Started: Full-time Employees

To get Microsoft 365 for the first time:

1. Submit a Software Install Request

Personal Device
1. Download Office onto your personal device.
2. Install Office
3. Log in and Activate Office with your HACC ID and password.

Getting Started: Part-time Time Employees

Microsoft 365 applications are FREE for part-time employees through HACC on the Hub.

To get Microsoft Office 365 for the first time:

  1. Go to http://hacc.onthehub.com.
  2. You will be redirected to the my.HACC portal login page.
  3. Log in with your HACC ID and password.
  4. Click on the Start Shopping button.
  5. Click on Office 365 Pro Plus, add it to the cart and proceed to check out.
  6. Follow the directions to access the Office 365 apps online or to download it to your device.

To renew Microsoft Office 365:

  1. Login to https://hacc.onthehub.com/WebStore/Welcome.aspx using your HACC ID and password.
  2. Click on the Start Shopping button.
  3. Click on Office 365 Pro Plus, add it to the cart and proceed to check out.
  4. Follow the directions to login to the Office 365 portal using your userID@myhawks.onmicrosoft.com account and password. If you cannot remember the password for Your Office 365 account, please contact the IT Support Center at 717-780-2570 and a technician can help you resetting it. There is also an option to reset your Microsoft account password at the login screen of the Office 365 portal.
  5. Once you have successfully logged into the Office 365 portal your account should automatically renew. 
    **Users may see a message bar at the top of their Office 365 application showing a button to Activate it. If this happens, please click on the Activate button and select the option to activate the software by logging into your Microsoft account. Make sure to use your Microsoft account @myhawks.onmicrosoft.com and NOT your hawkmail.hacc.edu or hacc.edu to login to the Microsoft portal. There is NO need to re-download or reinstall the software but you may be asked to re-start your computer, re-sign in to the application using your @myhawks account credentials,  or at least close your applications and re-open them in order for the activation to work.
