Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Information

This article informs HACC students that Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is required for certain systems and provides guidance on how to set it up using the Microsoft Authenticator app. It includes device-specific setup instructions and links to additional resources for managing MFA, such as resetting access, generating backup codes, replacing a device, and getting support.

As of May 26, 2026, HACC students are required to use Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) when accessing certain HACC resources, such as logging in to the myHACC website. In these cases, an MFA verification code is required during the login process.

Students accessing HACC systems for the first time after MFA was enabled will be prompted to set up MFA using the Microsoft Authenticator app on a mobile device.

If you are setting up MFA using a desktop or laptop, use this link.
