Android - MFA Registration and Login Instructions

Note: You can also view the full document containing these instructions attached to this knowledge base article.

Purpose: This document will walk you through the registration process for your mobile device and how to utilize your time-based rotational code to log in and access company resources.

What you need to know: Multi-Factor Authentication or MFA works by authenticating you in multiple ways to prove that you are the genuine account owner. In our case, we are authenticated by providing something that you know (your password) and something that you have (your cellphone) and its code that is rotated every 30 seconds.

PREREQUISITE: You will need to have the free Microsoft Authenticator app installed on your mobile device prior to performing the steps outlined in this document. The Microsoft Authenticator App is the only authenticator app that we are supporting; however, you can use another authenticator of your choosing. A download link to the Microsoft Authenticator App on the official Android Store has been provided for your convenience.

This will add an entry titled “HACCMFA”  Tap that entry, and you should see a rolling 6 digit number.  That number is valid for 30 seconds.  Tapping the number will copy the 6 digit code to your clipboard.  Return to your mobile browser page, and paste the 6 digit code into the box.  Then press  Verify.
