How to Clear Browser Cache

These instructions should help users clear their cache to improve performance or resolve issues. Note: Steps may vary slightly based on the browser version.

Steps on how to clear browser cache in Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox browsers:

Microsoft Edge

  1. Open Edge and click the three dots (menu) in the top-right corner.
  2. Select Settings from the dropdown menu.
  3. In the left sidebar, click Privacy, search, and services.
  4. Under the Clear browsing data section, click Choose what to clear.
  5. In the pop-up, select Cached images and files. You can also choose other data to clear if needed.
  6. Click Clear now.

Google Chrome

  1. Open Chrome and click the three dots (menu) in the top-right corner.
  2. Select Settings from the dropdown menu.
  3. Scroll down and click Privacy and security.
  4. Click Clear browsing data.
  5. Under the Basic tab, check Cached images and files. (You can switch to the Advanced tab to select additional data types if needed.)
  6. Choose a time range (e.g., All time) from the dropdown if necessary.
  7. Click Clear data.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Open Firefox and click the three horizontal lines (menu) in the top-right corner.
  2. Select Settings from the dropdown menu.
  3. In the left sidebar, click Privacy & Security.
  4. Scroll down to the Cookies and Site Data section.
  5. Click Clear Data.
  6. Ensure Cached Web Content is selected (you can also select Cookies and Site Data if you wish).
  7. Click Clear and confirm when prompted.
