ISSUE:
In Employee Self-Service, when employee starts their own Timesheet after acting as a proxy, it can lead to the Timesheet being locked the next time employee attempts to access their “In Progress” timesheet
Here is how a HACC employee recently described the issue: “when I try to go back into the “in progress” timesheet to make a change to my time entry and submit it, the timesheet will not allow me to do so.”
RESOLUTION:
-
Confirm with the employee whether they can act as a Proxy in employee self-service.
-
If the response is ‘Yes’, then the employee needs to get to their Timesheet as a Proxy, enter the needed time, and submit the Timesheet
-
After providing the employee with the resolution steps, close the TDX ticket. If the employee needs further guidance on how to use the Proxy functionality, they should contact Payroll directly at payroll@hacc.edu and include “Timesheet issue after acting as a proxy”
Ellucian recognized it as a defect, and it will be resolved in the 9.28 version of the Employee Self-Service. HACC is currently on the 9.27 version; this is why some employees may encounter it. The 9.28 version is scheduled to be installed in the Production environment on January 12, 2025.
