WiFi Access at HACC - Network Names That Appear When Connecting
When you open the network connection app on your device on a HACC campus, you may find several network names listed. Several are restricted. Connection credentials are common to all campuses to allow for a seamless WiFi experience between each campus.
The network names are as follows:
- HACCWifi - Designated for anyone with a myHACC login, whether they are faculty, staff, or students. Takes your myHACC username/password, leave out @hacc.edu or @hawkmail.hacc.edu
- HACCRadius - Restricted to HACC owned and issued devices, the connection to this network is set up by HACC IT staff.
- HACCGuest - For daily visitors and guests of the college who do not have a myHACC login. Access must be renewed on a daily basis with exceptions for longer stays.
- itsexternal - IT Dept testing use, access restricted.
- HACCPSK - IT Dept service use, access restricted.
Deactivated at end of 2022: EmployeeRadius - Former faculty/staff connection to HACC's network.
Please note that each network may or may not connect to various HACC services or websites. HACCRadius has the most access, HACCGuest has the least.
Important! Students connected to HACCGuest will not be able to use library databases and other online resources accessible connected to HACCWifi.
