Student Password Reset Instructions

Forgot or Expired Password

If you don’t remember your password, your password has expired, or you’re unsure which reset option to use:

  1. Go to the Forgot or Expired Password page: https://accounts.hacc.edu/passwordreset/verify
  2. Enter your HACC Username (HAWKmail prefix) and complete the RECAPTCHA verification.
  3. Select an email address or phone number to verify your identity.
  4. Review your contact information:
    1. Click Skip to continue, or
    2. Click Change to update your information.
  5. Enter your new password, confirm it, and click Save.

Password Requirements: Cannot use last four passwords, Must be at least 8 characters, Must be no greater than 64 characters, Must contain one uppercase letter (A-Z), one lowercase letter (a-z), and one number (0-9), Must NOT contain any parts of your name, Special characters ($,#,!, etc.) are permitted but not required.

Change your password (If you know it)

If you know your current password and want to change it:

  1. Visit the Password Reset page: https://accounts.hacc.edu/passwordreset/address/index
  2. Login with your HACC Username and password
  3. Review your contact information:
    1. Click Skip to continue, or
    2. Click Change to update your information.
  4. Enter your new password, confirm it, and click Save.

New Student Account Resources

Activate your account: https://accounts.hacc.edu/studentclaim/

Note: You will need to have your Student ID/ H#. You should have received communication from Admissions with instructions to claim your account.
