Office 365 For Mac - Unable to Edit

If Unable to edit in Office 365, despite renewing authorization through hacc.onthehub.com

Users may report the inability to edit documents in the Mac version of Microsoft 365 (Office 365), despite having validated the license via hacc.onthehub.com successfully. If this is the case, the following instructions can be followed and are current as of May 2023:

Assumptions:

Step 1: Use the MS license removal tool found here to resolve this issue:

Step 2: If Step 1 doesn’t work, then follow the process below by deleting certain files in the Mac user's profile:
